  • The Fort Lowell Neighborhood tour is a hike through Tucson’s layered history — spanning ancient settlements, military heritage, and cultural landmarks

  • Combines historical education with a scenic walking route through the city

  • Schedule a guided tour through the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum (Group size limited to 12 people, led by a tour guide for safety

  • Covers more than just military history — includes lessons on hydrology, agriculture, urban growth, and preservation efforts.

Parking, Restrooms & Amenities

  • Accessible parking and restrooms, drinking fountains and large shade trees at Fort Lowell Park

  • Wheelchair access possible with assistance, though some obstacles exist. The most challenging section is a half-mile stretch along Fort Lowell Road, shared with vehicle traffic

  • Dogs allowed on leash

  • Starts and ends at Fort Lowell Park

  • Crosses Craycroft Road
