Overview
The Chuck Huckelberry Loop is a 137-mile system of shared-use paths encircling Tucson
Connects trailheads, city parks, bus and bike routes, restaurants, shopping areas, and entertainment venues
The selected 4-mile section runs along the Rillito River Park, offering convenience, scenery, and easy access — no street traffic or parking hassles
Parking, Restrooms & Amenities
Accessible parking at either the Rillito Racetrack on the north side or Rio Vista Park on the south side
Both locations have restrooms, water fountains, and paved connections to the trail
Benches, shade trees, mountain views, and picnic tables
Dogs are allowed on leash
Trail Route
The 4-mile loop alternates between a paved path shared with cyclists or a wide packed-earth path for pedestrians
4-mile hike starts at one of two designated parking lots
The hike can be divided into shorter walks depending on time, energy, or mood
