Catalina State Park
Nature Trail
Operations and Maintenance

The west half of the Nature Trail is eroded rivulets and exposed rocks.

Erosion features on the west half of the trail can be several inches deep.

Small shallow puddles will form on the trail after a heavy rain.

Benches and trashcans are provided regularly along park trails.

The picnic area off the parking lot at the trailhead is clean and inviting.

Crosswalks are provided
when needed for trails crossing the main road.

A hitching post for horses is provided near the parking lot.

Cyclists are allowed on the Nature Trail, but equestrians are prohibited.

By trail courtesy, bicycles yield to hikers, and hikers yield to horses.
