Danny Lopez Regional Park
Trail Characteristics

The paved path at the start of the trail with some gravel deposits from a recent rain.

The paved trail transitions smoothly with the packed-earth path.

The trail skirts a shallow wash along a route safely curbed from the roadway.

The packed-earth trail meanders under shade trees and near fishermen.

The trail is wide and welcoming along the lake side.

Some parts of the packed-earth trail have scattered leaves and small branches.

Hikers have a choice of paved or natural surfaces at times along the lakeside route.

There is sometimes a 1-2” lip between the paved and natural surfaces.

Grasses grow along the packed-earth trail but are rarely an obstacle.
