Overview
Canoa Ranch features a 1.1-mile network of looping trails around a pond and a rare desert ciénega
The ciénega supports sedges, rushes, and grasses and attracts over 300 bird species, along with waterfowl and large mammals
The hike provides opportunities to learn about hydrology, wildlife, and history, or simply relax and enjoy the setting

Trailhead amenities include a large dirt parking area, accessible port-a-potty, trail map, and leashed dog access
The nearby Canoa Ranch Historic District includes a visitor center, accessible restrooms, picnic tables, and free volunteer-led tours
