Description

Overview

  • Canoa Ranch features a 1.1-mile network of looping trails around a pond and a rare desert ciénega

  • The ciénega supports sedges, rushes, and grasses and attracts over 300 bird species, along with waterfowl and large mammals

  • The hike provides opportunities to learn about hydrology, wildlife, and history, or simply relax and enjoy the setting

  • Trails intersect with the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, with interpretive signs about the 1775 expedition
