Name: Chiricahua National Monument, Silver Spur Meadow Trail

Location: 13063 E Bonita Canyon Drive, Willcox, AZ 85643

Trail length plus more: 3 miles out and back, Gain 180’, Elevation 5400’, Slope >8% in some short sections. To take the one-way route (1.5 miles), hikers need two cars with two drivers to create a car shuttle.

Trail surface: Rugged natural surface with occasional ruts, rocks, roots, sand and stairs

Overview

  • Scenic drive ending at Massai Point, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Trail Route

  • Silver Spur Meadow Trail is a 3-mile out-and-back hike

  • Trailhead is near the Visitor Center along the Park’s main road

  • Hike 1.5 miles one-way using a vehicle shuttle

  • Walk 0.1 mile from the western parking area to Faraway Ranch

  • Partially shady
